The Westlake Golf & Country Club of Jackson, NJ, held its annual fundraiser on July 27 to benefit Autism New Jersey, passing the $100,000 mark in money raised over the 14 years Westlake has been hosting the event. This year’s event raised $8,472, and more than 200 people were in attendance.

“We are humbled to be the beneficiary of the Westlake community’s generosity over the past 14 years,” said Ellen Schisler, Associate Executive Director of Autism New Jersey. “Communities such as Westlake enable us to fulfill our mission of ensuring safe and fulfilling lives for individuals with autism, their families, and the professionals who support them. We look forward to 14 more years of this impressive event.”

The day began at 8 am with a tennis round-robin and continental breakfast. In the evening, highlights included a wine-and-cheese reception and then a ballroom dinner-dance buffet, with music provided by the oldies band, “Memories.” Attendees also enjoyed participating in 50-50 raffle drawings.

Autism New Jersey thanks Howard and Toby Lazan and Arlene and Steve Friedland, co-chairs of the fundraiser, sponsors and donors, and all residents and friends who contributed to another successful event.
