Board Certified Behavior Analyst Job Expectations and Experiences in the State of NJ

In 2014, the NJDOE added a Behavior Analyst job code allowing BCBAs to work as non-certificated staff within NJ schools, however, no job category or description for this position was provided. This has resulted in discrepancies across schools in BCBA time allocation and caseload.

The purpose of this study is to determine the way in which BCBAs are utilized in NJ schools, how they allocate their time, and the challenges they face within their position.
