Investors Foundation Awards $2,500 to Ambassador Program

November 15, 2019

It’s only November, but Investors Foundation is already in a gift-giving mood. Autism New Jersey again has received a generous grant of $2,500 from Investors, providing a boost to our 2020 Ambassador Program. Donations from community partners like Investors, which last year donated $2,000 to the program, help expand the reach of our ambassadors in April, National Autism Awareness Month, and help build acceptance for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

Specifically, the money helps defray the costs of Ambassador program hallmarks such as free classroom supplies for teachers, posters for places of business, balloons and temporary tattoos for kids, awareness kits for state legislators, and various other Ambassador-related items.

Assistant Vice President Branch Manager Edith Legg (middle) and Vice President Sandy Broughton (right) of Investors Bank visited the Autism New Jersey offices to present the check to Autism New Jersey Executive Director Dr. Suzanne Buchanan.

“The dedication of the participants in the Ambassador Program, and community partners like the Investors Bank Foundation, enable Autism New Jersey to offer this free program to spread the important message to move beyond awareness and build communities that embrace and accept individuals with autism and their families,” Buchanan said.

We thank Investors Foundation for STARTING WITH RESPECT!

Ambassadors of all ages engage their communities by creating informational displays and presentations in their schools and workplaces, organizing successful fundraising events, and enlisting the support of legislators and state officials throughout April.
