Autism New Jersey will hold our annual Transition Conference on February 24 at the DoubleTree Newark Airport Hotel, an essential event for caregivers of individuals who are making the transition into the adult service system, as well as the professionals who support them along the way.

The event is made easier to offer at a low registration rate due to our generous sponsors. Their Newark Board of Educationsupport and participation assist us in hosting 10 specialized workshops, 60 exhibits, and an important networking hub for families and professionals. We offer a sincere thanks to our Presenting Sponsor, Newark Board of Education, which currently has rewarding job opportunities available in New Jersey’s largest school district.

“I am extremely excited for this incredible conference to be hosted here in Newark. Autism education is not only immensely important work, but also a topic that is near and dear to my heart. Our teachers and staff have been working extremely hard to provide amazing experiences for our students,” said Roger León, Newark Schools Superintendent.

We also thank our two loyal Partnership Sponsors. There’s so much information and resources packed into one day that will help you prepare for your child to become an adult,” said Kelly Milazzo, president of Greenwich Autism Alliance.

Autism New Jersey Education & Training Director Elizabeth Neumann, MA, BCaBA, emphasized how the sponsors’ contributions go a long way toward making registration more affordable for participants.

“The support of our sponsors assists Autism New Jersey in offering this specialized conference at a low cost. Families and professionals have shared how it helps them to better prepare individuals for adulthood and have some peace of mind at this often stressful time. We appreciate the services our sponsors provide to the autism community,” Neumann said.
