Grow Acceptance

IN THE SCHOOLS

Schools are where learning begins. They are the place to plant the seed of acceptance and understanding of not only autism but all that is different around us. Let’s teach our students to embrace what makes them and their peers unique. Below are some fun and educational ways to grow acceptance in schools.

  • Read a fact about autism during the month of April every day over the loudspeaker in the morning
  • Hang autism awareness posters in the halls and display autism awareness rack cards in the teachers room and library
  • Plan awareness events that everyone can participate in like a dress down day or autism walk
