Donate to the Anthony E. Meyer Conference Scholarship Fund

Anthony MeyerOur Scholarship Fund is named in memory of beloved volunteer, Tony Meyer, who passed away in 2014. Tony loved attending the conference year after year. The fund helps offset the cost of conference registration for caregivers and self-advocates currently experiencing financial hardship who would otherwise not be able to attend the event.

Each year, dozens of caregivers and self-advocates attend the Annual Conference at little to no cost thanks to the generosity of donors. Tony would be proud.

During these challenging times, your donation is needed now more than ever.  It offsets the cost of producing the event and will provide access to our program of educational workshops and give families an opportunity to connect and network with other parents and professionals.

Donations of any amount are appreciated. Contributions of $1,000 or more will receive Sponsor benefits.

A burden lifted

“As a parent in a household of four with 2 children with autism, one aged 7 and one aged 3, it was a great burden lifted to know that I was able to attend the conference with the generous scholarship, otherwise I would not have been able to afford to go.”

Gain valuable knowledge

“Our family struggles with many challenges including financial challenges, and this scholarship allowed for me to be able to attend this conference for the first time ever and to gain valuable knowledge in order to better help as well as better understand my own children.”

New ideas and innovative ways

“As a parent of an autistic child, we seek new ideas and innovative ways to get through each and every day with our children, and some of the lectures at the conference were priceless for me to gain just that. If not for the scholarship, I would not have been able to attend or to be able to learn as I did. I am ever grateful for this and for your organization as a whole.”

We recognize that many families are struggling financially and experiencing hardships, especially this year, which has brought many challenges. While we were able to lower the cost of registration to our Virtual Conference for all participants, we know the cost is still out of reach for many.  We will offer scholarships to families on a limited basis.
