39th Annual Conference FAQ
What are the dates and times of the conference?
This year’s 39th Annual Conference will be held on October 21 & 22 from 8:45 am to 4 pm. Attendees will have full access to the event platform 24/7 between October 21, 2021 and January 19, 2022.
What is the target audience for this event?
This conference is for parents, educators, behavior analysts, professionals from variety of disciplines, students, and anyone interested in learning more about autism. Last year, our virtual conference hosted more than 1,100 participants.
How much does it cost to register?
For only $149, registrants will have access to 7 live Keynotes, 21 new workshops, and over 40 workshops from our 2020 event that you may have missed or want to hear again for a full 90 days.
At no additional cost, BACB and APA continuing education credits are available. Additional FAQs specific to CE are in the Professional Development section below.
Is financial assistance available?
Scholarships are available as funds allow if you are a parent/caregiver of an individual with autism. The Anthony E. Meyer Conference Scholarship Fund is available to offset the cost of registration. Funds are allotted on a first-come, first-served basis. Click here to apply>>

What is the virtual conference platform?
Whova is our official Annual Conference online platform. Watch Whova’s How-To Guide to help you make the most of your user experience.
Do I need a specific web app on my device to participate?
Whova can be viewed on any desktop, laptop, or mobile device. Whova’s mobile app runs both on Android and iPhone. Search “Whova” in the App Store on your iPhone or in Google Play on your Android phone.
If you are using Whova on your desktop, you do not need to have any specific programs installed; you will just need to be connected to WiFi.
I want to participate but I am in a different time zone, can this be accommodated?
Yes. Whova automatically converts the session times to each user’s time zone.
Can I access the Annual Conference platform before October 21?
Yes, you can look at the community board to view other attendees, the workshop schedule and descriptions, and view the sponsor exhibit hall. Registered attendees will be notified when our conference platform becomes available. You will not have access to interactive features or workshops until the day of the conference.
How do I register for the conference?
How much are BACB and APA CEUs?
During registration, you will be prompted to include information if you’re earning CEUs, but there is no additional charge for BACB, APA, or DOE credits.
Can I register online with a purchase order?
Yes, you can do so through our check and purchase order registration form. A valid check or purchase order number as well as names and email addresses for all attendees are required to submit, so be sure that you have this information ready before starting the form.
Can I register multiple people at once?
Yes. The registration form can accommodate registering up to 10 people at once.
I think my employer will pay for my registration. Can you bill me?
We can provide a receipt that you can submit to your employer for reimbursement. Payment must be submitted with your registration. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you need assistance.
Can my registration be refunded?
Yes, we can facilitate a refund for your registration minus a processing fee of $25 if you notify us in writing to email@example.com before October 1, 2021.
How will the workshops be delivered?
The workshops will be pre-recorded by the presenter(s) and made available at their scheduled times with the presenters available for live text chat. The workshops will be available until January 19, 2022 to view at a later time.
Can I customize my own workshop schedule?
Yes. You can use the agenda to browse workshop descriptions and speaker information. You are able to filter each workshop by tracks and add them to your schedule to start building your custom conference experience based on your unique needs and priorities.
Will you have any live sessions?
Yes. All 7 Keynotes will be live.
I want to be sure I attend workshops that will best address my needs. Can you help?

I would love to connect with others at the conference. How can I do this?
Our virtual platform offers the option to set up virtual meetups and networking rooms that can be facilitated by anyone (parent or professional) to lead a specific guided discussion.
Autism New Jersey will be hosting Connection Sessions throughout the 90-day platform so that attendees who have watched a specific workshop can have an open conversation to continue learning from each other and networking. More details coming soon!
2021 presentations – Attendees will earn 1.0 APA* CE, 1.0 BACB CEU, and 1.0 DOE PD for every qualifying workshop they watch in its entirety. Each workshop is 50-60 minutes.
2020 Encore Track presentations – Attendees will earn 1.5 BACB CEU and 1.25 DOE PD for every qualifying workshop they watch in its entirety. Each workshop is 75 minutes.
Department of Education Professional Development Hours
How many DOE professional development hours can I earn?
Seventy (70) workshops qualify for New Jersey Department of Education professional development hours. Attendees can earn 91 Professional Development hours in total (28 PD hours from 2021 presentations and 63 PD hours from 2020 presentations). Only workshops with the green “NJ DOE PD” icon qualify for NJ DOE PD, and you can search for these as a track. There is no charge for DOE credits. Proof of attendance/DOE certificates will be provided.
Continuing Education Credits
What types of CE credits are available this year?
BACB and APA credits only will be offered. Sorry, ASHA and SW credits will not be offered this year. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and are hoping to offer these CE credit types next year. How many BACB CEUs can I earn?
Fifty-five (55) workshops qualify for BACB Learning CEUs. Attendees can earn 71 in total (23 from 2021 presentations and 48 from 2020 presentations). You can earn credits for workshops viewed anytime between October 21, 2021, and January 19, 2022. Only workshops with the blue “BACB CE” icon qualify for BACB CEUs, and you can search for these as a track. For your convenience, there is also a “BACB Ethics and Supervision” track.
Autism New Jersey is an Approved Continuing Education Provider (#OP-05-0085) for the Behavior Analyst Certification Board® (BACB). Autism New Jersey maintains responsibility for this program. BACB does not warrant, endorse, sponsor, or approve or partner with the event, organization, or instructor.
How many APA CEs can I earn?
October 21 & 22 ONLY
Fifteen (15) workshops qualify for APA credits. Attendees can earn 15 CEs in total (all from 2021 presentations and none from 2020 presentations). *APA CE is available on live days only (October 21 & 22) when there is opportunity for live interaction with instructor(s). Workshops viewed after October 22 cannot be submitted for credit. Per APA standards, attendees must complete their feedback form in order to earn CEs. Your APA feedback form can be accessed via a link that will be in each workshop for APA credit.
Autism New Jersey is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Autism New Jersey maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
When will I get my certificates (BACB and Professional Development)?
Autism New Jersey will send certificates in October, December, and January via email with your cumulative total from the start of the conference on October 21st through the end of the 90-day access period on January 19th.
Certificates will include all workshops to date. You will be receiving three certificates total.
>>October: The October certificate will have all workshops viewed from October 21 – October 27 — and be sent on or approximately October 29.
>>December: The December certificate will have all workshops viewed from October 21 – December 8— and be sent on or approximately December 10.
>>Final Certificate: The final certificate will include all workshops viewed for the entire event and will be sent on or approximately January 21, 2022.
If you do not watch additional workshops during any future time periods, you can disregard the later notices.
If you need your certificate sooner than 45 days from the day you viewed the event, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
When will I get my APA certificate?
Once attendance and feedback forms are verified, APA certificates will be sent within 30 days.
Sponsorship & Advertising
Are there still sponsorship and advertising options available?
Yes, marketing options are available. Gold, Silver, and Bronze Sponsorship levels are available. Having your logo (or more) in our e-blasts, website, event platform, and social media is a powerful way to draw attention to your organization! Digital advertising options for our e-newsletters and the website are also available.
What is the price for a booth?
This year, exhibiting is only available through sponsorship. We made this change to give our loyal exhibitors the opportunity to have greater exposure and interactions. We recognize the limits of virtual exhibiting and are excited to talk with you about how we can maximize the experience for you and the attendees with new features on our online platform.
